The clipper is very substantial. The combs clip on quickly and securely, so it’s easy to control the finished look of the cut. It’s quiet too! I am happy that we also purchased a trimmer- it is very helpful and makes the finishing touches easier and safer for an amateur. We are both 77, so if I can learn to use the clippers to cut my husband’s hair, anyone can learn! We watched a few videos- and our first haircut looked great!
